Keanu Reeves is excited for fans to watch the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise, which is set to be the most action-packed yet!

On Thursday, the actor and the film’s director, Chad Stahelski, revealed a first look at the highly anticipated John Wick: Chapter 4 at CinemaCon in Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace Colosseum Theatre. Following the presentation, the two spoke with ET’s Kevin Frazier about what the fourth installment of the series brings to the table. He confirms that there are new people, more world building, which hopefully is an indication that the cable series is still a go. Reeves also hinted that the High Table is a little angry, John Wick is a little upset, he’s trying to survive. That goes without saying, based on the events of the third chapter.

“This mad genius has created some really wonderful extraordinary sequences,” Reeves exclaimed a he gave a nod towards stunt man turned actor turned brilliant director Stahelski, who co-directed the original John Wick and has gone solo while helming the celebrated second and third chapters in the series.

During the presentation, Stahekski cautioned attendees that the upcoming action movie will not have a happy ending. He states that John Wick is more or less the embodiment of a tragic hero which is why the audience gravitates towards him. Which ultimately makes it a tricky proposition to end his tale in a positive light. Reeves then chimes in on the core essence of the character’s popularity, his persistence.

Playing a character like Wick, a determined but tormented man whose hopes for a regular existence are thwarted by shadowy machinations, has long appealed to the acclaimed actor.
