Legendary Pictures has been developing a live-action adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundamwith Kong: Skull Island and The Kings of Summer director Jordan Vogt-Roberts at the helm from a screenplay that was being written by Lost and Runaways screenwriter Brian K. Vaughn.

When previously talking about the project, Sunrise President Yasuo Miyakawa said that Sunrise has maintained almost all of the control over the film adaptation. That control was a requirement for Sunrise to agree to the project. Legendary will act as an active collaborator on the project. Netflix, will be distributing the film.

I have no idea when that movie is going to get made, but I’m excited about it!
