America’s Got Talent Putri Atriani made a splash with her brilliant voice and piano playing in Season 18. The AGT blind singer from Indonesia wowed the audience and the judges with her renditions of “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” by Elton John and a duet with Leona Lewis for the song “Run.” Though she only finished in fourth place, the singer earned many fans who are wondering what happened to her since the show. Here’s where Putri Ariana is now after America’s Got Talent.

What happened to AGT blind singer Putri Ariani?

The AGT blind singer Putri Ariani has released several successful singles and has become a sensation in South East Asia, performing numerous live shows in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Her music video to an original song entitled “Perfect Liar” has earned more than 6.5 million views on YouTube. Ariani was also a featured singer in “Who I Am” by Norwegian DJ and record producer Alan Walker. The music video for the song, with also features singer-songwriter Peder Elias, has garnered more than 29 million views on YouTube.

In August 2023, Ariani participated in the Asian tour for the Hitman: David Foster and Friends concert. There, she sang “Beauty and the Beast” as a duet with Peabo Bryson, who sang the original Disney song with Celine Dion. In May 2024, she performed a cover of Gloria Gaynor’s “Survive” at a large concert in Penang, Malaysia.

During her AGT audition, Ariani said that she wanted to be accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City. In June 2023, according to website Coconuts, she received a full scholarship from the Indonesian government to attend whatever college she wished. It’s unclear at this time whether she has been accepted into Julliard, though she did visit the university’s campus in October 2023.

That said, given her busy schedule with tours, it’s understandable if she chooses to skip college altogether and focus on her burgeoning music career. Due to her popularity, it’s possible Ariani might appear as a special guest in future seasons of America’s Got Talent.
