If there’s one thing 2023 has taught us thus far, it’s not to get too emotionally attached to any TV shows. (We still did that. But it’s not advised!)

As we swiftly approach the year’s halfway mark, TVLine is taking stock of all the series that have permanently left our screens in the past five months, whether they were unceremoniously cancelled or announced final seasons well in advance.

Netflix (which is often the leader in this kind of tally) currently holds the highest overall number of departed shows in 2023, with Sarah Shahi’s Sex/Life and Katherine Heigl’s Firefly Lane among its seven losses. On the broadcast side, ABC has said the most goodbyes to date, including proper sendoffs for A Million Little Things and The Goldbergs.

NOTE: Our list does not include a) shows that were cancelled this year but aired their final episodes in 2022 or earlier (Peacock’s Vampire Academy, for example), or b) shows that announced a final season this year but won’t wrap up until 2024 or later (like Paramount+’s Star Trek: Discovery).

Scroll through the list below to reflect on this year’s swan songs so far, then hit the comments with the show(s) you’ll miss most.
