Legendary comic artist and writer Frank Miller is the subject of a new documentary titled Frank Miller: American Genius, and the first trailer has been released.

Miller is an incredibly talented storyteller who has brought us some epic comic stories over the years including Daredevil: Born Again, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, Sin City, and 300.

Frank Miller: American Genius explores the “unique journey of an unparalleled American artist. The film explores the half-century career of the legendary comic book artist and writer.

“Made for his fans following a near death experience, the film delves into Miller’s radical and defining influence on art, storytelling and culture.

“Following his small town beginnings in Vermont, to New York City, Hollywood, and beyond; this intimate documentary delves into his failures, successes, self-destruction and re-discovery.

Miller shared in a statement: “My life has been driven by a relentless passion for drawing and storytelling, and it’s also led to incredible friendships and experiences along the way. Sharing this passion with the fans is what matters most and that’s why I’m incredibly excited to bring this film to audiences all across the nation in June.”

The doc includes interviews and cameos from Neal Adams, Robert Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Jim Lee, Zack Snyder, Stan Lee, and more.

The movie was produced, written and directed by Silenn Thomas for Frank Miller Ink. Frank Miller: American Genius will screen at Cinemark theaters nationwide on June 10th this summer.
