Peacock has released the first trailer for Pete Davidson‘s new comedy series called Bupkis, which is described as a “heightened fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life.” The series is said to combine “grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known.”
The series also features a great cast that includes Joe Pesci as Davidson’s grandfather, Edie Falco as Davidson’s mom, Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Jon Stewart, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson, Chase Sui Wonders, and more.
This looks like it will be a very funny show that will offer some honest insight into Davidson’s life, but it’s wrapped up in an over-the-top wild and crazy story. My favorite part about it is that Davidson managed to pull Joe Pesci out of retirement for the project!
The show was created by Davidson with his longtime friend and collaborator Dave Sirus (Archie Black: The Worst, Saturday Night Live). Judah Miller is the showrunner and Jason Orley (Big Time Adolescence, I Want You Back, Pete Davidson comedy specials) will direct and co-executive produce the series.
Bupkis will stream on Peacock starting May 4th, 2023. Watch the trailer and let us know if it looks like something you’d enjoy watching.
