Tony & Ziva Adds 8 to Cast, Filming Underway for Spin-off

NCIS: Tony & Ziva, the upcoming Paramount+ series led by Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, has added eight new actors to its cast as the Europe-set spin-off begins filming in Budapest.

Along with Weatherly and de Pablo, who are reprising their popular NCIS characters Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, the 10-episode drama stars Isla Gie, Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy.

Who are the new NCIS: Tony & Ziva characters?

Suman (Shadow and Bone) will play Claudette. The character is described as the extremely proficient chief technical officer at Tony’s company. As for Osinski, who previously appeared in Ted Lasso, the character is Boris. One of the best and most elusive hackers in the world, Boris is also a Russian expat. Benchicou, meanwhile, plays Martine, who is a crafty former French intelligence agent. As for the daughter of Tony and Ziva, the 12-year-old Tali, she’ll be played by Isla Gie.

Ovenden, who previously appeared in Bridgerton, the new character is former NSA programmer Jonah who is now the secretary general of Interpol. Maynard, an alum of The Witcher and Coronation Street, the character is experienced therapist Dr. Lang. Rossi (The Watch) and D’Arcy (Agent Carter) play Tali’s caretaker and a high-ranking Interpol official, respectively.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva takes place after Ziva’s supposed death. By that point, Tony has left the team to raise their daughter. However, years later, Ziva was discovered alive and returned to the main NCISc show to complete one final mission. She then reunites with Tony and Tali in Paris. Things take a complicated turn when Tony’s security company is attacked, forcing the protagonists to go on the run.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva is executive produced by John McNamara, who also serves as showrunner, Weatherly, de Pablo, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals, and Mairzee Almas. The spin-off is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
