STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, led by RON, has released the song HIKARI, which debuted at the Hikari Festival, held during Pyrkon, one of Europe’s largest fantasy conventions in Poland. The digital release of this work became available on September 20, and serves as the theme song for Hikari Festival 2024.

The song HIKARI was created specifically for the festival, and the track reflects STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION’s mission of connecting people through music. On STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION’s YouTube channel, RON also shared behind-the-scenes footage from his home studio while working on the song, where he invited fans to participate by sending in their recordings—such as singing, claps, finger snaps, and more.

RON shared this message to convey the central theme of the song:

“Even when we’re apart, we’re still connected” — that’s something that never changes, no matter the era. I hope you’ll pay attention to the straightforward, unembellished lyrics and give it a listen.

The organizer of the Hikari Festival expressed their excitement about the song:

We are so thrilled that RON has made the theme song for Hikari Festival. It shows the bright and joyful character of our event. We created the Festival with the idea of “from fans to fans”, and this song expresses that in both its production and performance. In a unique experience, the fans could take part in the production by recording their voices, which were used in the piece. And then, during the SDF concert in Poland, we all sang the chorus together, which allowed everyone to become a part of the performance. Thank you for composing this song for us!

STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION also announced the upcoming release of the third full-length album “STEREO DIVE 03”, releasing digitally this fall, which will feature HIKARI along with theme songs from popular anime, such as “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) and “Synduality: Noir“.
