All WWE rumors and news today

Here are all the WWE rumors, news, and leaks that have appeared on our radar today, May 19.

Roman Reigns’ Money In The Bank Plans

It was previously stated that Roman Reigns was advertised for the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view on July 1 in London, England.

Now, a new report from WRKD Wrestling on Twitter says that an idea was discussed to have Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa take on their own blood in Jimmy and Jey Uso.

This would free Roman Reigns up for a potential Championship defense at WWE SummerSlam in August.

Roman and Solo will challenge Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the WWE Tag Team Championship at the WWE Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia.

AEW Collision Update

AEW Saturday Collision continues to take shape ahead of its debut on June 17. A new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select notes that a top Superstar is slated to help with creative on the new program.

Reportedly, Bryan Danielson will be assisting with the creative for the new show. The former Daniel Bryan is no stranger to this role, as he was a part of the WWE creative team during his final run with the sports entertainment juggernaut.

During his push as a singles star, Big E credited Bryan as one of his biggest supporters behind the scenes.

Drew McIntyre Update

Drew McIntyre has not been seen in WWE since WrestleMania 39. He was drafted to the Monday Night Raw brand as part of the 2023 WWE Draft but was recently removed from the promotional material for WWE Money in the Bank.

According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Drew’s impending return comes down to both sides agreeing on creative plans for the former WWE Champion.

McIntyre’s contract with WWE reportedly expires in early 2024.

AEW Reportedly Rehired Ace Steel ‘Months Ago’

In the latest update regarding Ace Steel and CM Punk‘s status with AEW. Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling reports that AEW rehired Steel months ago, and he had been working with Tony remotely on creative.

Reportedly, it was agreed upon that Steel would return to the road with the company with the launch of AEW Collision. However, the company has since decided that Steel would not be able to return to his regular role behind the scenes.

Steel was fired after the backstage altercation at AEW All Out 2022 that included himself, CM Punk, and The Elite. CM Punk was expected to be announced as returning alongside the launch announcement for AEW Collision. However, Warner Bros. Discovery would later issue a statement saying that CM Punk was not associated with the program at this time.
