This work, for which members meticulously chose the design and packaging, is going to be released on two discs of 180g vinyl. Previous albums, 2011’s DUM SPIRO SPERO and 2008’s UROBORUS were released as two-disc, gatefold LPs in regular edition as well as limited edition box sets, which included the CD album as well as a bonus DVD. 2003 album VULGAR and major debut album, 1999’s Gauze were also released on vinyl, but are considered extremely rare. Last but not least, 2001 remix album KAI (改-Kai-) was released on vinyl, but was never available for sale. It was only issued as a prize during DIR EN GREY’s radio appearance on “All Night Nippon R” broadcasted on November 16, 2001. This one was signed and would be a miracle to find. As for previous singles, 2019 single The World of Mercy was issued on a sexy red vinyl, sold exclusively on the Europe leg of their 2020 tour This Way to Self Destruction. In 2022, the Japanese rock band DIR EN GREY celebrated its 25th anniversary. The band commemorated this milestone with a 14-stop tour nationwide across Japan. For those of us who couldn’t attend, or want to relive the exhilarating experience, the band will release live footage “25th Anniversary TOUR22 FROM DEPRESSION TO ________” on July 5. Not only that, but DIR EN GREY will also reissue their 11th studio album PHALARIS on vinyl the same day.
25th Anniversary TOUR22 FROM DEPRESSION TO ________ includes footage from their Zepp Haneda shows, which took place on November 8 and 9, 2022.
The Limited edition includes bonus footage from the SHINJUKU BLAZE concert, held for fanclub members only on December 16, 2022. At this exclusive show, fans were allowed to scream out again for the first time since COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. The Limited edition is available in both Blu-ray and DVD formats.
The Regular edition includes most of, but not all of the main live footage from November 8 and 9. It is only available in Blu-ray format. You can compare the differing track lists at the bottom of this post.
