Petit Brabancon gets more extreme in first EP “Automata”

Petit Brabancon releases their first EP “Automata” on June 14, 2023. The six-track collection features tracks composed by guitarist Miya, guitarist antz, and drummer yukihiro.

As usual, vocalist Kyo provides the lyrics—except for the lead instrumental track “mind-blow” by yukihiro. The caption online describes mind-blow as having a “profound atmosphere similar to a ritual”.

Automata is described as deepening the intense image of Petit Brabancon as we know it. From the band’s debut, it has become a collection of roaring, avant-garde, and sensational extremes. Grammy award-winning global engineer Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound) was appointed as the mastering engineer for Automata as well. We can’t wait to check it out!

Automata comes in a Limited edition as well as a Regular edition. The Limited edition includes the EP and adds a concert footage Blu-ray, a canvas-style artwork, and a purchase code for an exclusive tee shirt. The limited edition is exclusive to MAVERICK STORE and GALAXY BROADSHOP.

The regular edition features the six-track EP enclosed in a sleek monochromatic case. Either will make a beautiful addition to your CD collection.

The artwork is done by Taiwanese illustrator and tattoo artist Gunn (群). The illustration combines traditional media with modern science fiction themes, offering a glimpse into a mysterious world. The combination of raw, inorganic, and industrial is very fitting for Petit Brabancon’s unique sound. The android character on this jacket is expressed as Automata, or a “mechanical doll”.

Starting with the Zepp DiverCity performance on July 12, the band launches into a six-stop tour “TOUR 2023 INDENTED BITE MARK”. Tickets opened to overseas fans in April.
