Netflix’s highly anticipated League of Legends-based series, Arcane, is confirmed to launch Season 2 in 2024. With the season nearing its release window, its promotional material has begun to roll out. As a result, Arcane’s character posters featuring Vi and Jinx have made their way to the internet.
First character posters for Arcane Season 2 revealed
At 2024’s Annecy Film Festival, two new promo posters of Netflix’s Arcane Season 2 were revealed. The festival is set to take place from June 9-15 and bring previews of the best upcoming animated titles. So before Arcane Season 2’s panel, the following posters have been revealed (posted by @screentime on X – formerly Twitter), offering new looks at Vi and Jinx:
The first poster on the left showcases a close-up shot of Hailee Steinfeld’s Vi. The second one on the right features a wide shot of Ella Purnell’s Jinx. Now, the two sisters are set to return in the second season of Netflix’s ambitious video game-based animated series.
Riot Games and Studio Fortiche announced the series in 2019, and it hit Netflix in 2021. Following its release, the series was praised by critics and fans alike and got its renewal in November 2021. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger and left plenty of dangling threads, which will likely be addressed in the upcoming season.
Besides Steinfeld’s Vi and Purnell’s Jinx, the previous season also featured the voices of Katie Leung as Caitlyn Kiramman, Jason Spisak as Silco, Kevin Alejandro as Jayce, Toks Olagundoye as Mel Medarda, Harry Lloyd as Viktor, and Amirah Vann as Sevika, among others.
The official synopsis of Arcane reads:
“Amid the stark discord of twin cities Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on rival sides of a war between magic technologies and clashing convictions.”
Arcane Season 2 is yet to get its official release date for Netflix.
