As My Adventures With Superman Season 2 is set to premiere on Adult Swin later this month, the creative team is already developing seasons three and four.
This news was confirmed by showrunner Jake Wyatt during an interview with Showrunner Talk. He said: “Brendan and I have written outlines for 3 and 4. They have been creatively approved. I cannot discuss whether they have been greenlit.”
I imagine if the upcoming second season does well, the series will continue. It also seems like the cast is on board for more as well!
During an interview with CB, Superman / Clark Kent’s voice actor, Jack Quaid said that the cast would love nothing more than to work on the animated series forever.
He shared: “I don’t think you’re going to find one of us that’s like, ‘No, no way.’ No. I mean, we’re so lucky that we get to play these characters, these characters that have been around for generations and I love how our show puts this unique spin on the whole thing.
“Everyone knows the myth, but then our show occasionally will turn things on its head. I love this universe that Jake [Wyatt] and Brendan [Clogher] and Josie [Campbell] and everyone have created, and I just want to keep playing around in it forever. Honestly, I could go forever. It’s amazing.”
This is a fun show and it’s pretty popular with Superman fans. It’s not hard to imagine Adult Swim renewing it for more seasons.
The first season of this show was great and a lot of fans seemed to enjoy the story that it told. This next season looks like it’s going to be fun! The trailer sees Superman battle all kinds of villains and it also offers a first look at Supergirl in action!
My Adventures with Superman is a serialized “coming-of-age story centered on twenty-somethings Clark Kent, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen as they discover who they are, together.”
In this new season, “the three best friends face a host of new threats. Powerful foes will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will take aim at Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an unbelievable amount of money.”
“Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty, and love like never before.”
The series stars Jack Quaid as Superman/Clark Kent, Alice Lee as Lois Lane, and Ishmel Sahid as the voice of Jimmy Olsen.
Sam Register serves as executive producer. Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher serve as co-executive producers and showrunners. Josie Campbell serves as co-producer.
Season 2 of the series will debut on Adult Swim with two back-to-back episodes, followed by one new episode every Saturday. New episodes will also stream Sundays on Max.
The series comes from Warner Bros. Animation and it will premiere Saturday, May 25, at midnight ET/PT on Adult Swim.
