KNOSIS signs to SharpTone records, premieres single “Fuhai” featuring YUKINA of HANABIE.

Japanese metal outfit KNOSIS is back with a thunderous new single, Fuhai (腐敗), featuring YUKINA from the Harajuku core band “HANABIE.”. This release marks a significant milestone for KNOSIS as they officially join the roster of the American label SharpTone Records, home to bands like Crystal Lake and others.

The digital single, along with its gripping music video, premiered on September 27. You can watch the official video below.

In discussing the collaboration, KNOSIS frontman Ryo Kinoshita shared insight into the track’s concept: “Fuhai = Scarlet Aeonia, and the song features the goddess of rot”. This reference highlights YUKINA’s vocal feature, while also nodding to Ryo’s well-known love for video games. “Scarlet Aeonia” refers to a move from the video game Elden Ring, where a massive flower erupts into scarlet rot—a fitting metaphor for the song’s explosive energy. Ryo has frequently cited video games as a creative influence, with KNOSIS’ breakout track Sei-Sai drawing inspiration from the series Metal Gear.

Beyond its thematic depth, Fuhai also marks a new chapter for KNOSIS with their signing to SharpTone Records. This partnership introduces the band to a broader overseas audience. SharpTone describes KNOSIS as:
