Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said that Deadpool & Wolverine is an eight in terms of how impactful it will be on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This means there’s a strong chance that whatever we see happen in the movie will carry over to the future of the MCU, including the events of the next two Avengers movies.
But, there’s still so much that is going to happen between Deadpool & Wolverine and the Avengers. One thing we do know is that the Avengers movie is said to feature more than 60 characters from the MCU.
During an interview with io9, Feige was asked about all of the characters that appeared in Phase 4 and if fans can fans expect to see them in the upcoming Avengers movies, or if there’s a chance we won’t see some of them ever again.
Feige replied: “I rarely speak in absolutes like that, right? The notion of never ever seeing somebody again, we’ve got Tim Blake Nelson in a movie coming up next year, right? So I never talk in absolutes like that.”
He continued: “But the truth is, you know, we’re going to tell a story in these Avengers movies, and there won’t be room for 100,000 characters in it. So choices will have to be made, that’s for sure. But that doesn’t mean you won’t ever see anybody ever again.”
It will be interesting to see what characters they will choose to come back for the next Avengers movie and who exactly the main team will consist of. There have been rumors, but until it’s official, everything we hear is just a big fat rumor.
But, there is a real chance that Joe and Anthony Russo might come back to direct the next Avengers movies.
We’ll have more information from Feige soon as a bunch of news will drop at San Diego Comic-Con next week.
