Black Bear International has announced that Henry Cavill (The Witcher), Jake Gyllenhaal (Ambulance), and Eiza González (Baby Driver) have signed on to reunite with director Guy Ritchie‘s in his next action movie. The film is expected to start filming this summer in Spain.

Gyllenhaal worked with the English filmmaker in the recently released action thriller The Covenant. Meanwhile, Cavill and González have just wrapped up production on Ritchie’s upcoming spy film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

“There’s something special that happens when you collaborate with the same partners regularly: you build a shorthand and a trust that lets everybody do their best work,” Ritchie said in a statement. “Jake, Henry and Eiza are all astonishingly talented, committed, and engaging actors. This is going to be an action-packed movie that is both intellectually stimulating and physically exhilarating.”

Who’s Involved in Guy Ritchie’s Next Movie?

The untitled project will be written and directed by Ritchie. Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps, but it is being described as a big-budget action spectacle laced with Ritchie’s trademark humor. The Aladdin filmmaker serves as a producer along with Ivan Atkinson, and Black Bear International’s John Friedberg.

Before starring in Ritchie’s next movie, Cavill will first reprise his role as Geralt of Rivia in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s The Witcher. This season is expected to be last time he’ll play the hero. He is also currently attached to star in Amazon Studios’ adaptation of Warhammer 40,000, a tabletop game Cavill is a lifelong fan of.

As for Gyllenhaal, the Oscar nominee will be leading Amazon’s Road House remake and Apple TV+’s Presumed Innocent. Meanwhile, González will next be seen in Netflix’s The Three-Body Problem series from Game of Thrones creators.
