The official Heels Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of Starz’s wrestling drama has been released, teasing what’s to come in the next installment. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on July 28.

The video continues to highlight the sibling rivalry between Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig’s characters Jack and Ace, with Ace leaving the league after he was humiliated by Jack during the last season. It also features Jack dealing with his personal issues, while planning for the next big thing for the Duffy Wrestling League.

What to Expect in Heels Season 2?

“Season two begins after a spectacular showing at the South Georgia State Fair, and the Duffy Wrestling League’s popularity is suddenly on the upswing,” reads the logline. “Hoping to seize the opportunity, Jack and his cohorts prepare for a possible business deal with a new streaming service that may propel them onto a national stage. But the past and its tragedies threaten to upset everything when Ace leaves Duffy and the Dome in his rearview, meanwhile rival promotion Florida Wrestling Dystopia’s vengeful frontman Gully comes calling.”

Heels is written and created by Michael Waldron, with Mike O’Malley serving as the showrunner. The series tells the story about the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small town pro wrestling,” reads the synopsis. “Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals war over their late father’s legacy.

It stars Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, two-time Super Bowl champion James Harrison, AEW star CM Punk, and Chris Bauer.

Heels is executive produced by Waldron, O’Malley, Peter Segal, LBI Entertainment’s Julie Yorn, Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley. The show is produced by Lionsgate TV for Starz in association with Paramount Television Studios.
