This specialty restaurant offers a completely private space where personal chefs prepare and serve live crabs and crab dishes right before your eyes. You can enjoy not only the claws and shells but also rare parts like the abdominal muscles and heart, which can only be savored from live crabs. These can be prepared as sashimi, boiled (rare, medium, well-done), or grilled, using the best cooking method for each part, ensuring you can enjoy the entire crab without waste.
At Kanijennu Kita no Hanare, you can enjoy not only king crabs and horsehair crabs, which are unique to Hokkaido, but also the seasonal flavors of Hokkaido to the fullest. During the winter season, you can savor a “golden crab,” an exceptionally rare delicacy caught at a rate of only one in several thousand. Pair this with crab saké, made by boiling roasted crab shells, for a unique culinary experience at Kanijennu Kita no Hanare. The crabs we serve are shipped directly from the fishing grounds on the day they are caught, ensuring the same freshness as at the place of origin.
