DIR EN GREY returns to Europe for the first time in four years, with “EUROPE TOUR24: FROM DEPRESSION TO ________” in March 2024. It all begins on March 19 in Warsaw, with nine shows spanning four countries—Poland, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
This tour series builds upon the success of the tour series “FROM DEPRESSION TO ________”, originally held in Japan from 2016 to 2017. In this tour series, each night celebrates a different album or era. Occasionally recent material, or tracks from other eras are included. In Europe, the spotlight will be on the band’s fifth album, Withering to death., and their seventh album, UROBOROS.
Most cities will host two distinct shows on consecutive nights for an unforgettable experience. One and two-day passes will be available in both general sale and VIP tiers. The VIP upgrade includes early, priority entry to the venue. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to grab them when you can!
For a sense of what to anticipate at these special shows, check out DIR EN GREY’s past performances in Japan. During the “FROM DEPRESSION TO ________” series held from 2016-2017, members vocalist Kyo (sukekiyo, Petit Brabancon), guitarist Kaoru, bassist Toshiya, guitarist Die (DECAYS), and drummer Shinya (SERAPH), wore unique stage costumes that reflected the album’s themes. Vivid, riveting stage graphics and effects were also used to convey the worldview of each album fully. This time, we eagerly anticipate how they’ll pay tribute to two cherished albums live in Europe.
