DIAURA released their 23rd single venom eat (ヴェノミー) on April 3, followed by the accompanying music video on April 21. The music video features a trippy laser-filled light show during their performance.
Emphasizing the performance is vocalist yo-ka wriggling around on the floor with the title track’s name written on his back as if infected with venom himself. Those exact words venom eat also open up the song with a memorable chorus and infectious sound.
The facility setting screams isolation as a half-naked yo-ka can often be seen alone in between shots, from the floor to the containment pod. However, the band occupies the space with shooting and revolving lasers, harsh colored lighting, and a cool demeanor.
The single venom eat was released in regular and limited editions. The regular edition has a total of three songs including the DIAURA version of the song “THIS IS MY CULT.”. The name derives from their two-man tour with ΛrlequiΩ, who also performed “THIS IS MY CULT.”. The limited edition excludes this song but includes a DVD featuring the music video for venom eat. DIAURA’s artist photos for venom eat has the band doused in red lighting while in mostly all-black outfits.
