As the members of DEATHGAZE gradually reunited one by one—and even filmed a studio performance—the spark that was ignited has now prompted the band to come back to life for its 20th-anniversary celebration!

The band members had hinted at the possibility of a concert in the past, but with the latest announcement, we’re delighted to learn that there will be not one, but two concerts! The event is dubbed ‘DEATHGAZE 20TH ANNIVERSARY 2DAYS ONEMAN “DEATH NIGHT 2023″‘.

Both shows will take place in Nagoya, at the venue “Electric Lady Land” on December 22 and 23. Additionally, VIP ticket holders will be able to attend a meet and greet that includes a photo and autograph session.

In conjunction with the announcement, a new promotional image for the event has been unveiled featuring the members adorned with DEATHGAZE’s signature makeup, where black makeup streams down from their mouths.

DEATHGAZE’s website is now also updated with information about the anniversary concerts.

In 2014, DEATHGAZE announced a sudden hiatus just before its last EU tour and a few remaining gigs in Japan. Eventually, the band completely ceased activities by the end of the same year.

After ceasing activities, the members have taken part in various bands. Vocalist Ai started his own project “AI” and is currently in the band DARRELL. Guitarist Takaki joined ORCALADE, while bassist Kousuke took part in Unveil Raze until they entered a hiatus. Drummer Naoki started the band DEXCORE, but eventually departed due to “difference in opinion“.
