Daredevil star Charlie Cox has no plans on retiring from Daredevil anytime soon as he hopes to continue playing the superhero for another decade after Daredevil: Born Again.

During an interview with Deadline, Cox explained: “There will definitely come a time where I am not able to do it anymore, but for right now, [we’ll] just keep doing the best job we can and loving it,”

He added: “I feel incredibly grateful to still be making the show, and hopefully we’ve got another 10 years in us.”

While he wants to continue playing the character for the next ten years, in that time after Daredevil: Born Again, maybe we’ll seen him two or three more times. Marvel just has too much going on and they are going to be cutting back on the amount of content they produce.

Cox went on to talk about the physically demanding aspect of the show, saying: “My knees are not what they were ten years ago, nor is my back. It’s a really physically demanding show, which I love. We wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s kind of what makes it what it is,”

The new series is reportedly inspired by the Devil’s Reign storyline, which explores the power dynamics between Kingpin and the vigilantes who stand up against him. The story revolves around the power struggle between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk, who becomes the Mayor of New York City.

In this arc, Kingpin uses his newfound political influence to launch a crackdown on vigilantes, making their activities illegal. This leads to a fierce confrontation between Daredevil and Kingpin, with the latter using all his resources to hunt down and eliminate Daredevil and his allies.

The series also stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / The Punisher, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Vanessa Fisk, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita LevievaNikki M. JamesMichael GastonArty Froushan, and Clark Johnson in undisclosed roles. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson will also reprise their roles of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson. Wilson Bethel is reprising his role as Benjamin Poindexter, aka Bullseye.

Daredevil: Born Again hits Disney+ in March 2025.
