Han Hyo-Joo is once again in the news after concluding her recent drama, Blood Free. Recently, her upcoming Netflix series Romantics Anonymous has been announced. It is already garnering much attention from the audience, as this romantic drama is a Japanese-Korean collaboration. The recent announcement of the drama revealed the full cast details.

This is a sweet and salty romantic drama that revolves around a genius chocolatier who deals with a traumatic past. However, meeting with the owner of a chocolate shop changes the course of the chocolatier’s life. Directed by Sho Tsukikawa, the production designer of the series is Lee Ha-Jun. Meanwhile, Hyo-Joo talked about her take on the series through her agency.

Blood Free’s Han Hyo-Joo to appear in Netflix’s Japanese romance series

In addition to the Moving actress, Romantics Anonymous also stars Shun Oguri, Jin Akanishi, and Yuri Nakamura. The excitement and the hype are rising revolving around this series because of the actors representing two different Asian countries. Han Hyo-Joo plays Hana, the genius chocolatier who has the trauma of gaze and hides her real identity. While Oguri is going to portray the chocolate shop owner, Hyo-Joo’s fans can’t wait to see her chemistry with the famous Japanese actor. 

Han Hyo-Joo shared her thoughts on debuting in a Japanese series through her agency, BH Entertainment. As reported in Hankyung, she said (originally in Korean), “I am happy to appear in a collaboration between Korea and Japan. I am working on filming with a fresh sense of tension with the mind of a new actor.” Hyo-Joo further continued, “I will do my best to create good work. I will do my best until the end. We ask for your interest and support.” 

Romantics Anonymous is currently under production and is set to stream only on Netflix in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates.
