Director Rian Johnson has started production on his next film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, and he’s shared the first photo from the set.

The photo features Daniel Craig back in the role of famed Southern detective Benoit Blanc, and he’s sporting a new look. Craig has longer longer hair this time around.

The photo came with the caption: “Aaaaand we’re off! Today is day 1 of shooting on the next Benoit Blanc mystery Wake Up Dead Man – see you on the other side.”

Craig leads a big ensemble cast that also includes Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Josh Brolin, Thomas Hayden Church, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, and Daryl McCormack.

There are still no details to share regarding the new whodunnit story, but as a fan of these films, I’m excited to see what Johnson has cooked up for this third Knives Out movie.
