Spider-Man fans have been glued to info about any Tom Holland Marvel contract renewal news. With the Peter Parker actor potentially hanging up his webs and suit, many Marvel fans want confirmation on whether they’ll still see him portraying the web-slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Marvel Studios and the actor have been surprisingly quiet for a while, but some reports give fans hope for Holland’s return. Here’s what we know about the contract renewal between Holland and Marvel Studios to date.

Is Tom Holland still Spider-Man in the MCU?

Yes, Tom Holland is still Spider-Man in the MCU, reportedly.

Technically, Holland is just one of the several Spider-Men in the MCU multiverse, but fans can still hope the British actor will portray Peter Parker for a while. When Holland signed for the beloved masked superhero, his contract covered six movies. While the agreement reached its limit with 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s hard to believe Marvel Studios and Sony will let Holland go without attempting whatever it takes to keep him. Since then, Holland has reportedly been attached to return in a yet-to-be-confirmed fourth Spider-Man movie, which implies the contract renewal between Holland and Marvel Studios is happening. Holland first appeared as the friendly neighborhood vigilante in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, where he sided with Tony Stark in his clash with Steve Rogers. Both the fans and the critics loved Holland’s performance as Peter Parker, praising the actor for his fresh take on the role. Holland then starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming and its sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, in addition to taking part in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Recently, he reprised the character in the box-office success No Way Home.

While Holland expressed several times his gratitude for portraying Spider-Man, he also stated that he also looks for a change in his career. Holland, who will soon turn 26, said he doesn’t see himself taking on the role in his thirties. Instead, the British actor endorsed having a live-action movie featuring Miles Morales’ Spider-Man, considering the success of the Into the Spider-Verse animated feature.
