How to Hide Dark Circles under Your Eyes

“The eyes are the mirror of the soul and reflect everything that seems to be hidden; and like a mirror, they also reflect the person looking into them,” said the great Paulo Coelho. And the reflection of our faces is in the dark circles under our eyes. Did you spend the entire night binge-watching “Game of Thrones”? And the next thing you know, it’s all over your face. Let’s see how simple it is to get rid of those pesky dark circles.

First and foremost, it all starts with taking care of your skin. To reduce the dark circles as well as ‘bags’ under your eyes you’ll need cucumber slices and tea bags. For your information, green tea makes the blood vessels under your eyes narrower, which reduces the bags in size and helps get rid of dark circles. However, all that helps not all the time, and not always completely. That’s why so many women resort to simply hiding those awful dark circles under their eyes. Let’s look at some of the ways of doing that.

Dark circles Eyes

First, apply foundation to your entire face. It is now the turn of the concealers. Before applying concealer, most makeup artists recommend using an eye moisturizing cream. Some even suggest mixing them until they become thick in order to “build” one tone and avoid uneven application.

Don’t forget to apply the same tone on your upper eyelid to achieve the same contrast. If you don’t, everyone will notice that you were trying to cover your dark circles. And that’s not good to even let them think that! 🙂

Don’t apply the cream (or a mix of creams) with your fingers – use a concealer brush for that. The brush is the only thing that, with its super-thin bristles, will be able to hide the dark circles under your eyes properly.

If your purple-blue-ish circles can’t be covered even with the help of concealer, then, before applying it, do some magic with a cover stick on your face – it lightens the tone of the face by eliminating the dark circles. Note: a peach cover stick hides grey and green shades of the circles under your eyes, while a white and rosy cover stick does a great job at covering blue and purple shades.

That’s it – easy and effective!
