There’s been no shortage of memorable popcorn buckets in 2024. One of the most notable examples was the Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket, which quickly became a meme as many pointed out its resemblance to genitalia. A raunchy, NSFW popcorn bucket for Deadpool & Wolverine will also be available to purchase when the movie releases in theaters on July 26.
Alien: Romulus will be the seventh official entry in the Alien franchise (or the ninth including the crossover movies with the Predator franchise) following 1979’s Alien, 1986’s Aliens, 1992’s Alien 3, 1997’s Alien Resurrection, 2004’s Alien vs. Predator, 2007’s Aliens vs Predator: Requiem, 2012’s Prometheus, and 2017’s Alien: Covenant. The new film is set between the events of Alien and Aliens.
“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” the synopsis for the movie reads.
Álvarez — who previously made 2013’s Evil Dead, 2016’s Don’t Breathe, and 2018’s The Girl in the Spider’s Web — co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues.
Tickets for Alien: Romulus are now on sale and can be purchased on Fandango’s website by clicking here. The movie will be released in United States theaters on August 16, 2024, from 20th Century Studios.
