Television personality and model Vanna White is reportedly on the brink of leaving the popular game show Wheel of Fortune, amidst ongoing drama with Ryan Seacrest. Following Pat Sajak’s recent departure from the show in June 2024, Seacrest is all set to succeed him as the new host. On that note, let us look at why Vanna White might no longer be a part of Wheel of Fortune soon.
Is Vanna White leaving Wheel of Fortune?
There is no official announcement or confirmation yet that Vanna White will be leaving Wheel of Fortune. That being said it is quite likely that she is currently in the process of departure from the show.
Reports from the Decider claim that White is finding it difficult on set without her former co-host Sajak. She has been fighting for equal pay for a while now and Sony executives have reportedly made her latest contract extension her last one. This means she will keep hosting the show with Seacrest for two more years but the future after that looks uncertain.
Vanna White and Ryan Seacrest drama explained
The Daily Mail reported that Vanna White is finding it increasingly difficult to work with Ryan Seacrest citing professional differences. They claimed that White “just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to. There is just no way that she possibly could.”
According to The Daily Mail, White has expressed concern over a difference of opinions with Seacrest. She realizes that the long-running Wheel of Fortune needs to head in a different direction to make it more appealing to the new generation. White believes that it is time for her to move on as she is indecisive about staying on air with Seacrest as her co-host.
As mentioned before there is no immediate announcement that she is indeed leaving the show, especially now that she still has to host for two more years as per her contract. But fans must stay prepared nevertheless to bid adieu to yet another beloved host of Wheel of Fortune.
