Comedy anime One Punch Man has unveiled a special video along with cast and staff members and the story for its third season!

Makoto Furukawa will reprise the role of Saitama. Hikaru Midorikawa will also return to voice Garou with Daisuke Namikawa as Doctor Genus.

The new season will once again be animated at J.C.Staff. Tomohiro Suzuki will return for series composition along with Chikashi Kubota and Makoto Miyazaki for character design and music respectively. Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryosuke Shirakawa will also join the staff for character design.

According to the special announcement video, the story is as follows:

“Saitama is a hero who only became a hero for fun. After three years of ‘special training,’ hes become so strong that he’s practically invincible. In fact, he’s too strong—even his mightiest opponents are taken out with a single punch. Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama performs his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association.

One day, monsters claiming to be from the Monster Association suddenly appeared, taking a child of Hero Association executive as a hostage. The S-class heroes gather and plan a raid on the Monster Association hideout to rescue the hostage. Meanwhile, Garou, a ‘human monster’ who was taken by the Monster Association during a battle with the heroes, awakens in the Monster Association hideout.”

Adapted from the original webcomic created by ONE, One-Punch Man revolves around a hero named Saitama who can knock out any opponent with just a single punch, leading him to seek one who can truly challenge his abilities. Along with his cyborg disciple Genos, Saitama goes on to join the Hero Association, which employs people with superhuman abilities to protect the Earth from monsters and villains.

The anime premiered in 2015, receiving a second season in 2019.
