On September 14, the world-renowned rock icon YOSHIKI cements his legacy alongside Hollywood legends as his handprints and footprints are permanently enshrined at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. YOSHIKI is the first Japanese artist to join Hollywood’s elite handprint tradition since its inception in 1927.

This milestone places YOSHIKI in the company of over 300 artists who have received this honor throughout the nearly century-long history of the renowned Chinese Theatre. It’s worth noting that while the Hollywood Walk of Fame has honored over 2,700 artists, the TCL Chinese Theatre has chosen only 300, making this event truly significant.

The ceremony commences at 10:30 PDT on September 14 and is open to the public. Guest speakers for the event include Gene Simmons of the American rock band KISS, and Lee Byung-hun from the hit Netflix series Squid Game.

Later that evening, the documentary film YOSHIKI: Under the Sky makes its Hollywood premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre at 19:00 PDT. This film, which marks YOSHIKI’s directorial debut features internationally renowned artists such as YOSHIKI’s fellow bandmates HYDE and SUGIZO from THE LAST ROCKSTARS, as well as artists The Chainsmokers, St. Vincent, Sarah Brightman, Scorpions, Jane Zhang, Lindsey Stirling, and Nicole Scherzinger.

In October, YOSHIKI returns to Los Angeles to headline his Yoshiki Classical 10th Anniversary World Tour with Orchestra 2023, “REQUIEM”. The tour includes performances at Tokyo Garden Theater, Royal Albert Hall in London, Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, and Carnegie Hall in New York. Notably, this marks the first time a Japanese artist will headline all these iconic venues.

This classical concert will feature new compositions, orchestral versions of hits by X Japan and his new group projects, and works by classical legends like Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. Special guest performers for the tour will be announced soon.
