60 Minutes+ (Paramount+)
Based on the venerable CBS series, this news magazine was cancelled, so there won’t be a second season.

4400 (The CW)
A reboot of 2004 series, this sci-fi show revolves around 4,400 people who have vanished over the previous century and then all return as if a day hasn’t passed. It lasted one season.

The Activist (CBS)
Described as a completion series for inspiring activists, this show came under criticism and was retooled into a documentary special.

Adults Adopting Adults (A&E)
A reality series, this show was cancelled after three episodes following some behind-the-scenes drama.

After Life (Netflix)
From Ricky Gervais, this dark comedy series about a grieving widower comes to a close with season three.

Amber Brown (Apple TV+)
A comedy series for families and kids, this show revolves around a young girl dealing with many changes in her world. It was cancelled after one season.

America’s Got Talent: Extreme (NBC)
A spin-off of the popular summer competition series, this mid-season show ran for four episodes. It could return someday.

Animal Kingdom (TNT)
A gritty crime family drama that was based on an Australian series of the same name, this series ends with its sixth season.

Another Life (Netflix)
Starring Katee Sackhoff, the sci-fi series follows the crew of an exploration ship after a strange alien structure comes to Earth. It lasted two seasons.

Archive 81 (Netflix)
This horror series topped Netflix’s weekly top 10 viewing chart for originals series, but it was still cancelled, possibly because of the show’s budget.

Arthur (PBS)
Based on the children’s books by Marc Brown, this animated educational series ended with its 25th season.

A comedy-drama from Jason Katims, this show follows twentysomething roommates on the autism spectrum. The series was cancelled after one season.

Astrid & Lily Save the World (Syfy)

B Positive (CBS)

Batwoman (The CW)
A female-led superhero series, this show ran for a total of 51 episodes across three seasons before being cancelled.

Becoming Elizabeth (Starz)
A historical fiction series, this show revolves around the younger years of Queen Elizabeth I as she becomes embroiled in the politics of the English court. It ran for one season.

Better Things (FX)
This comedy-drama created by and starring Pamela Adlon ended with its fifth season.

Beyond the Edge (CBS)
This reality competition drops celebrities into the Panamanian jungle where they live for 14 days and compete to raise money for charity. It lasted for one season.

Bridge and Tunnel (EPIX)
A comedy-drama series written, directed, and produced by Edward Burns, this show is set in the 1980s and follows six childhood friends as they graduate from college and step out into the real world. It ran for two short seasons before being cancelled.

Bringing Up Bates (UPtv)
This reality series, which follows the very large Bates family, had been renewed for an 11th season and was scheduled to premiere on February 10, 2022. The cable channel decided to pull the plug as it shifts away from unscripted shows.

Britannia (EPIX)
A historical fiction drama series, this series ended after three seasons and 27 episodes with a cliffhanger.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine (NBC)
Season eight of this workplace comedy was supposed to air during the 2020-21 season. However, due to the pandemic, the final season was delayed until the 2021-22 season.

Bull (CBS)
A legal drama starring Michael Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull, this series follows the employees at Trial Analysis Corporation (TAC), a jury consulting firm. It ends with season six.

Bulletproof (The CW)
A British police procedural series, this show was cancelled in the UK following allegations of sexual misconduct by 20 women against co-creator and star Noel Clarke.

Charmed (The CW)

Cowboy Bebop (Netflix)
A live-action version of an anime series, this sci-fi Western about a ragtag group of bounty hunters was cancelled after one season.

The Crown (Netflix)
Created by Peter Morgan, this historical drama chronicles the reign of Elizabeth II; the Queen of the United Kingdom and 15 other Commonwealth realms. It’s been announced that season six is the end.

Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol (Peacock)

Delilah (OWN)

Desus & Mero (Showtime)

The Expanse (Amazon)
This science-fiction drama ran for three seasons on Syfy before being cancelled. Amazon Prime Video rescued the show and gave it three more years. Season six is the end.

F Is for Family (Netflix)
An adult animated comedy about a dysfunctional Irish-American family in Pennsylvania, this show ended after five seasons.

Family Game Fight! (NBC)
Married couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard each team up with families and compete against one another for up to $100,000. It’s been cancelled but may return someday.

Family Reunion (Netflix)
Created by Meg DeLoatch, this comedy revolves around a family who travels from Seattle to Georgia for a reunion and decides to stay. The show ends with season three.

FBoy Island (HBO Max)
Three ladies and 26 men — 13 “nice guys” and 13 “Fboys” — move to a tropical paradise. Despite being popular, the series was dropped after two seasons.

The Final Straw (ABC)
A larger-than-life Jenga-style game show, this series was hosted by Janelle James and lasted for 10 episodes.

First Kill (Netflix)
A teen drama series about a young vampire and a vampire hunter, this supernatural show was cancelled after one season.

The First Lady (Showtime)
This anthology series dramatized the lives of three First Ladies from different periods in history — Betty Ford, Michelle Obama, and Eleanor Roosevelt. It was cancelled after one season.

Flatbush Misdemeanors (Showtime)

Hanna (Amazon)
Based on the 2011 movie of the same name, this show is about a young woman who’s trained to be a killer and hunter. It ran for three seasons and 22 episodes.

The Harper House (Paramount+)
This show is an adult animated comedy series that revolves around a formerly affluent family that has to downsize to an old family home in the poorer side of town. It lasted for one season.

Hawkeye (Disney+)
The streaming service announced that the sixth episode was the final episode of the series.

Head of the Class (HBO Max)
School’s out, for good. A sequel of sorts to the 1980s comedy series, this show lasted one season of 10 episodes before being expelled.

His Dark Materials (HBO)
Based on a trilogy of novels by Philip Pullman, this dramatic fantasy series ends with a third season of episode episodes.

How We Roll (CBS)
Inspired by the life of professional bowler Tom Smallwood, the comedy show was cancelled before its first season finished airing.

A comedy series from New Zealand, this show is a spin-off of the What We Do in the Shadows movie and series. It ran for four seasons.

The Wendy Williams Show (syndicated)
The host of this talk show had to take an extended break due to various medical issues. Guest hosts filled in but the show was eventually cancelled.

Westworld (HBO)
This sci-fi thriller series is based on the 1973 movie of the same name. The story begins in a Wild West-themed amusement park that’s populated by androids. It ran for four seasons.

Why Women Kill (Paramount+)
An anthology series, this drama follows ladies in different eras and settings. It had been renewed for a third season but those plans were later cancelled.

The Wilds (Prime Video)
This drama was created by Sarah Streicher and revolves around the young survivors of a plane crash. It ran for two seasons.

Woke (Hulu)
A comedy inspired by the life and work of artist Keith Knight, the show stars Lamorne Morris as an artist on the verge of mainstream success. The show ran for 16 episodes over the course of two seasons.

Women of the Movement (ABC)
The first season of this civil rights anthology series revolved around a mother who became an activist after the brutal murder of her son. There won’t be a second season, at least not right now.

Work In Progress (Showtime)
A comedy-drama starring series co-creator Abby McEnany, this show was discontinued after two seasons and 18 episodes.

Y: The Last Man (FX on Hulu)
About the aftermath of a mysterious cataclysmic event that simultaneously killed nearly every mammal with a Y chromosome, this show lasted for one season.

Zero Chill (Netflix)
A drama about a pair of skater siblings who relocate to the UK from America, this drama lasted for one season.
